has anyone else tried playing fear on a lan and experienced a small amount of lag?
example, i have an e6300, 3gb ddr2-533, x1900xt and a small network in my house. 5 of us were playing on a dedicated server on our network and i was noticing a small amount of lag in firefights, but my settings weren't very high. i had my resolution at 1024x768, most of the graphics on medium with some other on/off eye-candy disabled, which is far less than what i use for single-player.
the dedicated server is an upper model athlon xp with 1gb of ram (never saw it go near 50% cpu or memory usage.
all the machines playing have socket 939 athlon 3000+ cpu's or better with at least 1gb of ram, and the lowest gpu is a 6600gt (but that is also my old pc, so i know it's not weak).
help? any guesses? has anyone else experienced this?
