FEAR 1 was pretty good, on the PC at least, PS3 port was pretty horrible (for technical reasons).

Heard FEAR 2 was kinda a disappointment. Hope FEAR 3 shapes up to be as good as the first. Monolith can make a good, creepy FPS when they put enough effort into it.

I heard that as well, but I still bought it. I think a lot of the disappointment stems from how good the first one was. Expectations were high (at least for a lot of people it seems) and I think that took away from the overall perception of the sequel. I played it through once. It was still a good game, just not as great as the first.

FWIW, I think I paid $25 for it and I don't regret it at all. After playing it through, I probably would have given up to $30 for it. If you can snag it somewhere cheap before 3 releases, it wouldn't be a bad buy IMO. I'm sure it can be had for a decent price nowadays.

dang, Im tempted to get this, gears 3 which has the same 20 credit, and crysis 2

would net me a basically free game in the end
