EZ CD CREATOR QUESTION?

When burning, my light was going on as if it were burning, then it would go off, then on again, and off. And the process took sooo long on a Plextor 16/10/40. Just wondering what they hell it was doing. This software came with the Plextor, and I needed to use it to burn a ISO image. Help me out and tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Is the buffer running down? what's the rest of your system like? if your system or iso source can't keep up, burn-proof might be kicking in. Theoretically it should still make the CD. Does the image work?

Yeah it worked. But I didn't see the buffer dropping. I'm not sure. All I know is that the CDRW wasn't DMA enabled LOL. It was in PIO mode. I'm assuming that's the problem. I'm gonna go switch that real fast. Lets see if that is the problem.

Are you doing a test & Burn? Or just a test? Do you know what your settings are? Have you profiled your cd drives?

both my HP and sony cdrws blink when they're writing. I don't think that's a problem. if it took a long time, make sure you didn't test before you did a burn. that will simulate burning the entire image before actually burning it to make sure your system can keep up with the 10 or 12x (whatever you're using).
