Anyone have Eyefinity? while I was watching the game last night, Ieft my PC running with a screen saver running. about 2 hours later, I noticed the center screen was flickering, right and left monitors were not.

When I play WoW, at times the mouse curser is distored, but when I move it to the left or right monitors, the curser is fine and looks normal, but its the center monitor the curser looks distored, it even looked that way when I exited the game and was on the normal desktop.

Anybody know by chance what this could be? Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Post your setup, connections, monitors and resoluions, and link your Dp dongle if you have one.

Its ridiculous how many issues are persistent on the internet about this. You may want to post this in a WOW forum as it may be a blizzard software support issue too

It's not just WoW. I get it in Starcraft 2. I'm thinking it's something to do with the way Blizzard renders on ATI cards because I get this issue -> http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2129970

Check the video and screenshot and let us know if it's the same. I really want to consolidate all these issues. Or whatever, just buy an Nvidia card :)

Yes, texture issues with the mouse curser on the middle display, I'm getting the samething.. I guess it must be a driver issue as hopefully AMD will fix it in this months driver update, but yes, Im getting the samething.

I know posting setup is important but the mouse and texture problem I only get in SC2 and I get the mouse problem on either monitor, it comes and goes. I don't think it has anything to do with temps as it'll happen out of the blue and my temps will be in the 50c range for my GPU and 45c range for CPU.

Ambient temps is never about 30c.

So as you said, yea I hope it's a driver issue. If there isn't a release that fixes it I'll be moving to a GTX 560 or 570 because I've been wanting to upgrade but this issue really is ridiculous.

Does it happen if you use a different driver? I know there was a bug involving cursor corruption in eyefinity before.

Edit: I want to point out that with AMD I did not update my drivers unless a specific one came out that fixed something for a game I was playing or wanted to play. Many times it seems their drivers introduce new bugs and headaches and I found I often would roll back to the previous driver when I tried to update monthly.

Yes it is. DVI is left, HDMI is right and display port is middle monitor.. do you know something I do not?

There have been few issues with DP on AMD cards.. and its usually a driver issue. Also, mouse cursor issue and flickering at 2d idle has been reported many times in the past.. AMD solved these issues with Cat 10.4 and later.. but it seems few are having that same problem with cat 10.12. BTW.. you are using the latest drivers right? Cat 10.9, 10.10 and 10.11 dont' seem to have this issue.

You can roll back the drivers and check if the issues still persists.. and its a good idea to have the monitor that is driven by DP, to be used as a side monitor rather than at the center.

this.

most eyefinity issues seem to stem from DP issues.

DD,

Problem is, I got my eyefinity setup for Christmas, and was already on 10.12. Prior to that, I was on a single IPS monitor for the past year as I got my 5870 in June 2010 so I have no way of comparing past drivers to present...:confused:

Busy,

I will try a roll back this weekend. I've used every driver but was on a single monitor setup until Christmas, so I started eyefinity out on 10.12.

Will do this weekend, but why is it that the DP should be a side?

Cos.. its less distracting being on the side. It does not solve the issues you have right now, but makes it less noticeable.

I get this issue on either DVI/DP or VGA... connection method is not relevant up to 10.12. It's something else :(

Sucks, though :(

I just use CCC. I am happy with what CCC provides.. I find all those 3rd party tools to be a bit over whelming.

CCC does not actually allow you to change clocks, AB and Asus's software OTOH do allow you to manage clocks manually.

I thought CCC/Overdrive did allow you change clocks? and you had your choice to manually set a fan speed?

That was the one thing I liked about AB, I would set a profile 950/1350 and I created a fan curve so as the card got hotter, the fan would spin faster and as it cooled off, the fan would slow down.

With CCC, I would set it to 950/1350 and NOT select manual fan control but I never hear the fan spin any faster as the card got hot...... I don't understand...?

Is your card is idling at 157/300 or 400/600(?) when multiple monitors are connected?

That's a good point. I should check if the clock is too low when idling. However sometimes I get the mouse issue when in Starcraft and my card is on high load.
