Eyefinity question

Will Eyefinity work if you have one 30 inch display and 2 20 inch displays on the sides of it rotated vertically? I don't see this particular configuration in their documents.

As far as I know, all the monitors involved have to be exactly the same. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong...

I dont think that will work.

Its pretty much what I wanted (24" plus two 17"), I'm hoping that it will be enabled at some point.

No, it will not work currently and likely never will. That said, it is possible, but AMD has told me directly that it will likely not spend the engineering resources to make it happen.

Maybe Nvidia can make this happen with Fermi? Aren't they supposed to be coming out with multi-monitor also?

Well that sucks. 🙁

Way to go half-arsing things again ATI.🙄

If you turn off eyefinity, you can still run all 3 monitors as you would with 2 video cards. However, to run all 3 as 1 single screen (which eyefinity is meant for, especially games), all 3 monitors need to be same resolution and configuration.

NVIDIA still has said nothing to make me think this is happening as a feature on Fermi.

We have explained to NVIDIA that Eyefinity is a must-have feature on Fermi and one of the only ways to truly exploit the possible GPU power contained in Fermi in my opinion.
