Acer owns eMachines after all (along with Gateway). What better way to leverage their volume by selling (potentially second rate) panels for cheaper with a lesser warranty?

Also, when I saw the box, I immediately thought "oh, looks like an Acer monitor box." :hmm:

DOH! I keep forgetting about that cashback avenue. I just got the normal 1% Discover.

I've taken mine out of the box but haven't plugged it in yet. I should do that... tomorrow maybe.

Well, I got this top of the line diamondtron in nearly perfect shape for under $50. Anything less than a 32'' LCD TV looks like a downgrade to me (this is coming from a decent 24'' MVA, I know what LCDs are capable of), and I am moving out of the country this year (i.e. kiss goodbye to warranty). It can wait till then, but this deal may expire so I need a quick resolution 🙂

oh, and I would rather not have this turned into another useless CRT vs LCD debate. I just like this better than the LCD I used to have.
 
So none of you have had any problems with this? I'm thinking I might pick it up cus it's so cheap and want that higher rez this has.
 
I ended up getting 3 of these for ~$215 after all the coupons I had. 2 Arrived today. They look fine and no dead pixels. I just need all the rest of my stuff to show up so I can get some eyefinity action in!

They are amazing monitors for the price. Have mine setup in eyefinity. No dead pixels or anything like that.

So $95 for it now...nice. Still quite happy with me. Only drawback is needing to have a system that can power the high resolution 😛
