Isn't that a bit overboard? Why not just a card reader and some plastic cards?

because swipe cards are lost constantly,the eye scanner will cost more intitaly to implement but will probably be less costly over time.

And was teasing that big of a problem for kids getting free lunches? My daughters have been getting free lunches all school year as I've been unemployed (until monday!) and my (soon-to-be) ex was only working part-time...they never once complained of being teased about it.

I don't think people stealing the kids' lunch money are going to use it to buy more lunch though.

kids get made fun of? so fvcking what, everybody gets made fun of back in grade school. its part of life, and dissing each other everyday at the lunch table was part of the routine, and i looked forward to it everyday cuz talkin smack at lunch is acutally somewhat fun.
