Eye Health questions

I'm growing a little concerned, and I'm hoping it's just a little hypochondria and not anything to worry about.

And note, this has been going on for 3 weeks.

It started when pulling an all night study session during finals week. My right eye was extremely irritated, bloodshot, and no amount of eye drops or splashing water on my eye could provide extended relief, only temporary, and typically temporary meant maybe 20 minutes at most, if that.

I felt that just the pure irritated and bloodshot feeling was what was causing the slightly blurry vision.

But that was around 3 weeks ago now. My eye doesn't have the same irritated feeling, at least not to that extent. But it's almost always bloodshot, or at least pretty red. Vision is most often a little blurry too.
And sometimes I get a little pressure/uncomfortable feeling.
My left eye will get the irritated feeling from time to time, notably just feeling a little dry, but the right eye is worse.

I'll use a variety of drops too. If I'm wearing my contacts (which my eyes have always felt like they would prefer to never wear contacts, I think I have somewhat dry eyes), I'll use my OptiFree Replenish drops. Before this little ordeal, those drops worked wonders, and still do a pretty decent job in my right eye currently.
But when I'm just wearing my glasses, I'll use either Systane Ultra, or Visine-A, kind of dependent on what exactly I'm feeling like is the problem. Just feeling like very dry eye, I'll use the Systane, but if it's just blurry and red the Visine. That and sometimes it feels like the Systane Ultra makes it worse - the liquid makes it feel great, but it seems to wear off really quick and almost make my right eye feel like it's even more dry. Sometimes not... all of these drops, it seems hit or miss - like my eyes feel like cooperating once coerced on some days, and other days just want to be stubborn.

And note, sometimes my eyes, after wearing contacts all day, are just dry when I switch to glasses and they just need time to readjust. This hasn't been the case for the past few weeks. I mean, granted, that switch is still problematic. But, I can wear glasses all day and still have my right eye bother me.

Is this something I need to be concerned with? After taking a look at one of the eye drop bottles, and reading a statement saying directed to visit a doctor if eye drops don't improve the situation after a few days... that got me thinking. I'm going to make a trip to the student health center tomorrow and ask an Advise Nurse if I should make an appointment with the optometry department... because it's not just a little concern about my eye, but dammit... this is just frustrating me and I want my eye to feel normal again.

You're going blind, don't bother with the doctor. I know this voodoo guy who can totally save your vision though.

You probably have something like an infection and antibiotic eye drops will cure it up. Go to the doc.

So I went to the campus health center today, and they did a few things, including putting that damn dye in my eyes.
Determined that whatever it was, most probably was caused by contacts for some reason, and had some remnants of mild hemorrhaging, including some growth over the entire eye, including over the cornea or something, which is what is causing the blurry vision.

Put me on some eye drops that have an antibiotic and steroid in them. Can't wear contacts, and will have a follow up Friday to see progress and find out if I can go back to wearing them.
