How much did you have to pay for eye glasses? I just got back from Hakim Optical and they're asking $300CAD for two pair, but $270 for one pair. 😕

It seems when you buy two pair, you're only paying for the lenses, whereas when you purchase one pair, you're paying for the frames aswell. They're practically forcing you to buy two pair. 🙁

How much did you pay for your eye glasses?
 
Wow. The price of glasses must have gone up since I last purchased a pair. My old ones costed like... $200.

On a side note : Please, if you're a transexual, please don't ask me to look at you while I'm trying on glasses. Thanks.
 
My last pair of Maui Jim perscription sunglasses was about $800. I thought that was insanely expensive, but I sure have enjoyed wearing them.

I did, but their sunglass selection was quite possibly the worst thing I've ever seen. They were practically all aviators or chick glasses.
 
i just got a new pair. i shopped around a lot to get the best price and it seems that no glasses are cheaper than $250-300 but i got a cheap pair for $130, although my lenses were $100 by themselves with all the special anti-glare, etc.
 
i paid $30 for the pair i'm wearing now, and they are perfectly fine, check these sites if you need some good cheap glasses:

them having a second pair for only $30 more should tell you a lot, it means they can make them for less than that, so you are getting seriously ripped off on the first pair.
 
glasses were $200
ran ban sunglasses $350 w/lenses
new lenses in ray bans after 2 yrs $200

look on the bright side
hearing aids will run you $1500-$3000 each ( good ones not the cheap crap)
and insurance typically doesnt cover those at all

 
My glasses were $400 ... not coincidentally the exact amount my health benefits cover. They are made of the material you can bend the hell out of, and they go back to their original shape. Great for a dork like me who always sits on them 🙂
