26 year old, perfectly healthy, normal body weight, etc., but snores so loud the neighbors can hear her.

Any advice I can give?

check with ENT for nasal breathing obstructions... or make her sleep on the sides which should help some.. or duct tape her mouth closed

Go see an ENT (ear-nose-throat specialist) or better yet a sleep specialist.

some people just are born with obstructions to their airway. maybe a small airway, large tonsil or tongue, narrow palate.

get it checked out, there's a good chance she has sleep apnea

My dad snores so loud I can't believe my mom isn't deaf. When I go home to visit I can hear him 30ft away through the walls.

He's been to multiple specialists and nothing has worked, I hope you find a solution. 🙂

has he had a sleep study? some people just don't want to change. and yes snoring is a problem all by itself even if the person doesn't have sleep apnea.

Yes he's gone through it all. The last doctor he went to years ago when I was still at home just said he has no idea why he snores as loud and bad as he does. Much to my mothers frustration. lol

Go to ENT. Sometimes the back of the soft pallet vibrates with the back of the tongue. Surgery will cut away some of the soft pallet.
