What makes Intel EE's better than normal CPUs? I know it has something to due with the cache, but what exactly is it?

It's bigger...a lot bigger. The Intel Pentium 4 EE has 2MB of L3 cache, whereas other consumer processors don't have any L3 cache at all. The Athlon XP has 512kb of L2 cache, the Pentium 4 A/B/C has 512kb, and the Pentium 4 E (Prescott) has 1MB. The P4 EE has 512kb of L2 cache, plus 2MB of L3.
