extract installed drivers from windows?

Is there a way to extract or get all the files out of windows for a current device driver (without downloading new ones), so I can reinstall it on windows after I format? Because sometimes if im workin on someone elses computer, I might not know what driver to use, or be able to find it after I format, because not all hardware is labeled with enough info to be able to know what it is in order to find the driver on the net, any tips or tricks for this?......thanx in advance???

There's no *easy* way to do this.

You'll need the .inf file that contains the PnP ID for the hardware in question (check c:\winnt\inf), and all the files that that .inf references.
