Page 73 -- Zalman's advertisement for the CNPS-9500.

I have some observations about this, and there is a review available:

Review of the CNPS-9500

Neither the review nor the advertisement mentions the optimum thermal resistance specification for the heat-pipe cooler.

The advertisement shows a graph of temperature against fan-speed. This appears to be partly "hype", because beyond some given fan-speed and therefore air-flow in CFMs, there will be no improvement in thermal resistance. And thermal resistance is THE ultimate measure of how a cooling device reduces the difference between Idle and Load temperatures in Centigrade. (So what better measure would you want for evaluating a cooling device?)

The advertisement (and check the review again) boasts that the unit is more effective at cooling than mainstream water-cooling kits.

We should keep an eye on future reviews of the CNPS-9500-Led, because sooner or later, somebody somewhere (in Germany, US, UK, etc) will measure thermal resistance of the CNPS-9500 and compare it to other heatpipe coolers.

I remain hopeful, optimistic, but skeptically reserved until someone shows me the numbers.

some people like to be able to change the fan others dont care....

with zalman product I believe they are of sufficient quality that they would need no outside help!!

🙂

The Reserator isn't all that good ... it sucks in my opinion. Only if you want quiet cooling and water would you buy the reserator.

I'd prefer a regular XP-90C for space and aesthetic reasons over the reserator. But I'd prefer a real water setup over both.
