external tv tuner

Does an external usb tv tuner have the ability to see a broadcast signal using an antenna?
If so, which one's are recommended? I'm trying to use a laptop for tv in an area with no cable. Thanks in advance.

I would imagine so...if it has a regular coaxial input (to which you would connect the antenna), of course.

yes i have an ati tv wonder usb2.0, and it works very nice. tv quality is very good. i use it for cable because it looks a lot better than my crap tv wonder VE PCI card.

ive got a pinnacle pctv vision pci card.....works great unless i try to use my x-box with it (dont know why)

Yep. Been using mine for both broadcast (in grad school) and cable for 6+ years.
