External Hard drive will not network share

I just bought a Speeze External HD enclosure which is usb 2.0/1394. I try to network share it and upon clicking on it, i get the following msg...


Error Msg

All the security settings are correct, but for some reason the share just isn't working right.

I can rarely even click the network share on the same computer, although once in a great while it works.... any suggestions?
