I was thinking about getting an external hard drive.

My current drives have been Western Digital for the past 8 years.. soo I was wanting to stick with them.

I seen where I could buy drives already in external enclosures.. and I seen where I could buy them seperate and then put them together..

Whats the best way to get one.. or am I missing something..

Thanks!

It's a matter of money vs convenience.

However, it's very easy to slide a HD into an enclosure, so I'd go that route, and save yourself a few bucks.

Buy the external HDD enclosure or better yet, a mobile rack to facilitate a faster hdd switch. Easy to put together, either way, your choice.

Its a lot cheaper putting them together than buying retail. I've usually pick up system pulls. My last batch of WD 80's averaged $40 w/ SH.

You can get a great deal individually, esp if you only need 1 or 2. Good hunting.
