External Hard Drive on the Fritz

So I plug my external hard drive into the USB port, and Windows identifies it and says that the new hardware, USB mass storage device, has been properly installed. I go into My Computer to look for the drive, and it's not there. I have other external hard drives that are working, so it is not the USB port or the system. It was working fine just the other day and has not been moved, so I doubt there is any physical damage. Device manager says that the USB port and the drive are both working correctly.

Can someone please tell me what is wrong with my drive? I'm at my wits end.

Have you tried the "/Action/Rescan Disks" option in Disk Management?
After doing this, you may want to reboot the PC if the drive doesn't show up.
