I've notice some external case will tell you it only support up to ie 400 GB HD. Does that mean anything? What happen if I try to use a bigger HD?
 
Some of the older units don't support HDs bigger than XXX... so if you stick in a bigger HD, the chance of it working is pretty slim, or it won't "see" all of the HD.
