Anyone have any experience with Reliabilt fiberglass doors? I'm reading it's a rebranded Jeld-Wen sold by Lowes. So far the one we like with 2 sidelites is $2200 finished ($1300 unfinished). Comparatively, a Jeld-Wen fiberglass door we liked is a tad over $3k (Home Depot said finished but Windorama said it wasn't). We don't need to get fancy, just something that isn't junk while looking decent. Therma-Tru is $3500+... no thanks.

We ended buying a used front door for $85. After sanding and repainting it looks great. Add $30 for hardware.

Not re-branded Jeld-Wen. They're built by Jeld-Wen but they're obviously not the same thing just with a different name.

We bought this Reliabilt a few months ago to replace a five year old Reliabilt that rotted at one of the bottom corners, letting water into the house. This new set seems to have a tighter seal and more weatherstripping. We'll see

Doesn't seem to link to a specific door - are you talking about a patio door or front door?

And I'm surprised it wasn't covered by warranty?`

The sidelight adds another $500-$900 to it. We're shopping around trying to replace our front door and it has a sidelight. We were told we had to buy both the door and the sidelight to replace it because it comes together as a unit.

so, you buy a strong door, so you can add a weak glass pane to the side?

That was one of our concerns. They say the double or sometimes triple pane of glass is hard to break. Unless you live in bumblefvck where there are few neighbors even in sight, cops say people don't break glass, especially in the front of a house where it can attract all kinds of attention. They jimmy the jam with a crowbar because that's the weakest point. Anyway, we're in a pretty safe neighborhood and will have a central-stationed alarm.

We finally ordered - the Reliabilt had a terribly low privacy rating - you can basically see through the glass from the border and center, and the other designs were horrible, so we went with a 2nd choice Jeld-wen Architectural which was $3k after the sidelites. We're getting $1.2k back as an allowance. We could've gone for a regular steel door for under $500 but these doors are the way to go for completely re-done homes. My contractor said himself that all he's ever worked with are ThermaTru and those are even more. We had priced one out and a single sidelite was over $1k. Who wants a door for $7.4k, from Home Depot? No joke.
