Extension cables for high powered appliances.

We rent, and live in a slightly aged home. We have a 52'' LCD TV, an electronic Fireplace, a microwave, and a PC all on the same circuit. There are a few other circuits in the house but not many. The reason for all of these appliances on one circuit is not by choice since the living room & my room are all on that circuit. If 3 of those appliances are on, the power goes out and we have to go flip the switches in the basement.

What I would like to know is: Is there a "high powered" extension cable that I can trust to carry an appliances power to another outlet without fear of damaging the appliance? (I'd prefer to use it on the electronic fireplace as its near the hole for cables into the basement.)

Umm... yeah. Go to a Lowes or Home Depot. The extension cords are rated by amperage and a cord used for power tools is usually pretty heavy gage and capable of high amperage.
 
Look at what amperage you need first. Look for the label on your fireplace that says how many watts or amps it draws.
