I have a linksys wrt54g in my office at one end of the house. I would like to extend my wireless network to the opposite end of the house. I have a hard-wired connection from one end to the other. Is there any way to take advantage of this to extend the wireless network or am I best off to just use WDS?

So you have a cable that stretches to the area where you want to extend wireless?

If you get another Linksys router, just follow these instructions on how to set it up (the first set): http://linksys.custhelp.com/cg...p?p_faqid=4579#LAN-LAN

You'll only need to configure the new Linksys router. I did this at home using an Actiontec router for Verizon FiOS service (need it to control VOD and handles the DHCP of my network) and configured my WRT54G to be a WAP (so it doesn't hand out any IPs).
