$600 seems like alot for only two years. I my D-Reb through circuit city early this year for $179 and it doesn't expire for 4 years. Beats me how the two plans compare in coverage, but it gives you an idea.

As far sensor cleaning goes...get the Sensor Brush. It works very well, it's cheap and you don't have to send the camera out for two weeks. I got it because alot of people over at dPreview were raving about it.

So you used it successfully on the 300D?

Yeah, it worked very well. I had some dust on my sensor which you could as dark spots see in any shots with blue sky (or any solid color really) at tighter apertures. The brush rid of them for the most part. Dust in the sensor is going to be a fact of life if you change lenses or even just use the camera alot. It's a PITA to have to send the camera out for two weeks at a time.

....oh yeah, I have found through experience, Wolf/Ritz Camera can be pretty slow with their service depts at times. I sent Quantaray and Sigma lenses out through them to have their chips updated to work with the 300D. Well, it took them 6 months, and the Sigma still hadn't been upgraded. They said it couldn't because certain parts weren't made anymore....which was weird since it's a simple of of re-chipping it....and Sigma confirmed with me via email that it could be done.

Same? They protect against damage YOU (not the manufacturer) cause?
