Express Card Slot on MBP

So, is there anything useful that I can do with it? Like do they make a card reader or something I can put in it? What do you guys use it for? Or am I totally missing the point of these?

It is the same as the PCMCIA slot that it replaces. It is there to add functionality to the laptop that wasn't included by the manufacturer. However, with PCMCIA users usually put in ethernet cards (your MBP has ethernet), wifi cards (your MBP has wifi), or things of that nature. eSATA, Card Readers and 3G wireless cards are what I see the most.

Ok, sweet, that's what i was hoping for. Kinda off topic, but TheStu, you know what you're talking about. What can I use to sync my contacts off my blackberry onto my mac? I can use desktop manager on my PC but that tdoesn't work on mac.

I do not have a blackberry, but I do recall that my mother had some issues with getting hers to sync as well. I think she got MissingSync. You might want to check to see if anyone made a plugin for iSync for yours though. My verizon phone (Motorola v750 Adventure) wouldn't work with iSync out of the box, which was very annoying, but finally some kind soul modified an existing plugin to have it work with the v750 and I am a happy camper.

Which blackberry do you have, and what exactly are you wanting to sync?

I have the Curve 8330 through Alltel. I would settle for just synching my address book, but I would love to be able to back the entire thing up like I can with Desktop Manager.

I think that with the intro of the Storm, RIM put out a new Mac based syncing mechanism. However, it might just be limited to the Storm, or just to media files.

I think that its name is something like Blackberry Media Manager or something.
