exporting out of Outlook to...maybe a new mail program?

Hello-

I'm moving to a new computer. On my old one I've been using Outlook 2002.

I was curious, what is the best way to export all my e-mails, and keep them in their folders and such? I exported it as a .pst, and I think it took my entire inbox and it's subfolders, but since I've never done this before, I want to make sure, so is that all there is to do?

Also, I'd like to get away from Outlook if possible. I'm not really a fan of Eudora. Is there anything else out there?

any help would be much appreciated.

Download this from Microsoft. It will allow you to export everything from Outlook. This is a great tool. Why do you want to stop using Outlook?
