Hey all,

I would like to export data cells to a Word document. Specifically, I have tour dates, times, and information that I would love to export to a word document without having to copy and paste.

Ideally, I would like to have a word template and run a macro that could fill in the data where I needed it, such as the time, the date, etc.

Any links or suggestions would be a great help,

Thanks!

I have used cut and paste for simple things. I just tested that and it dumped the data into a Word table. Then you can convert table to text if that is the desired outcome. I have also used macros to do the same thing. Word macro language can do pretty much anything as it is basically visual basic. I have had to use Word as the front end for various apps in the past and it was sometimes a little tricky to merge the data, but always possible. I have even resorted to using Access or Powerpoint as a data bridge a couple of times and using a script file to do the heavy work.

Here is the Word help info if it helps and you haven't already searched for it:

How to import or convert files from another Office program
To convert most types of files saved in another format, simply open the file in Word. When Word recognizes the file format, it converts the document and opens it. For example, you can open a Word document in PowerPoint, and PowerPoint automatically converts the Word document into a PowerPoint presentation.

If Word cannot open the file you want, first open the file in the source program, and then save the file in a file format that Word can open. After the source file is converted, you can open it directly in Word.

For information about which file formats Word can import or export, click . If you did not install a necessary file converter, run Setup again and add the converters you need. For information about how to install a program or component, click .

To import information into Microsoft Outlook as items, save the file to a comma separated value (.csv) format or a text format.
