How can export my mail accounts in Outlook to a fresh install? I know there is an export option in the accounts menu, but that does not export any saved messages, address book, message rules, blocked sender's list, etc,....it just exports the servers and such (pop, etc...). So how can I do the whole ball of wax?

Go to Tools -> Options -> Maintenence and you'll see a button called Store Folder. Click it and it'll give you the folder where all your Outlook folders/messages are stored.
You can manually back those up. I don't think you can save your rules but you can backup your address book by going to Tools -> Address Book to export and save your address book.
After you reinstall, you can use Import -> Messages -> OE6 -> Import from an OE 6 store directory to get your messages back from where you saved. You can import your address book the same way you exported.

I have my OE 6 store directory and address book saved to a folder in My Documents. Whenever I format, I just back up My Documents and all my files are safe.
Good luck!

learn to use pst files. very good. go to file/import/export export to a file. export to a pst file(personal folders)

select the root directory, select save subdirs, etc etc. its self explanatory from there. importing is easier.

write down actual account settings. setup account on new intsall and import all your email/folders from pst. one should periodically save pst somewhere for backup.

Thanks for the tips guys, but I managed to find a utility that backs everything up (including the registry entries) and then restores them in another account. Quite handy.
