Exploring hate, and why we hate

First, before this thread gets started, I wish to make some rules.

1. No particular race will be glorified or demonized.

2. No personal fights here, please.

3. Try and limit your hate toward the behaviour, not the person.

4. Try and grow from the experience.

Now, all of that said, I really hate it when people cannot control their children, especially when they are trying to buy products, and need to pay attention. They just make people behind them wait longer. I hate it that people don't plan to take their children somewhere for awhile. Do they not consider the impact on others, or they just "doo-dahs", as I call them, completely oblivious to what is going on around them? :|

Who the hell do children think they are? All the time they're either stealing something, getting hit by cars because they want to drive their damned electric scooters in the street, or they're crying about how much their life sucks. There's no discipline these days and it's a big problem.

I hate you.

Likewise....But, why do you hate me? What is the bahaviour you hate? I cannot believe that we can hate people, based on a simple white skin, olive skin, red skin, yellow skin, tan skin, black skin basis.

I hate people who file frivolous lawsuits, which I define as pretty much any lawsuit stemming from activity which was ill-advised to begin with. Personal responsibility, people! I see many of society's problems as stemming from people not taking responsibility for their actions.

Good post

I think the whole world is getting tired of some of the things that have been said here already.

Women getting equal rights is good and all, but these days feminism is being taken too far. Too often for my liking I see a father that cooks, makes money, and fixes everything. What does the wife do? She complains about how they need to go out to eat more and watches QVC.

Looks like Peg to me. 🙂

Now is my avatar an expression, or a behaviour?

Married with children FTW?

I hate paying bills, other than that, I dont really hate anything.

I dont mind bratty kids in stores because often times I egg them on by making faces, ect. at them.

So the point of my thread is, why do we hate?

Do we hate something, or someone, simply because it is?

If I layed down a couple dozen bricks, with most colors and shades in the array, would you hate a brick or two, just because they were a certain color? Of course not. But maybe that brick jumped up off the floor and hit you in your head a couple years ago. That must make all bricks of that color bad, right?

I hate waiting in line. I am not a patient person. 🙁

Yes. It pisses me off to no end to see a wall of nice red bricks and then to have a purpleish grey one in there.

Why do you hate that ONE purpleish grey one...what did it ever do to you? Maybe you never had a purpleish gray brick in you life, but your grandfather did, and he taught you that ALL purpleish gray bricks were bad for you. 😉

It'd be ok if the purpleish grey one was with only other purpleish grey ones, but it doesn't look right with all those other red ones. them purpleish grey needa stick with their own kin, if you know what I mean.

Some purpleish grey bricks are going to have a problem with your idealogy.

I hate dream busters!

Meh, it's going to sound terribly clichéd, but I don't hate anything or anyone.

That can't be possible. You have to hate something.

Not really. Because, to me, almost everything is relative.
And hatred is an emotion I can do without.

I know it's pansy new age sh!t to lots of you... 🙂

I am, admittedly, a bit of a hippy. 😀

I found this, and the search engine sucks out finding stuff. Hater in denial?

Indeed. Sure, I am guilty of using the the word in a flippant, light hearted manner.
And, by that definition, I hate lots of things... like beer, hot weather, and the damn BCS! 🙂

But, for a thread dedicated to hatred, and why we hate, I took it as referring to the serious form of hatred. As in hating a person, race, ethos, etc.

My bad... I took it too serious. It's the cold medication I swear! 😀
