while using IE. doesn't happen right away when browsing, will only occur after some period of time in use, then no new IE windows can be opened/accessed (get unable to connect messages). Can only get explorer working again by restarting and get an error message similar to the above.
 
haven't run memtest, but highly doubt that could be a problem at this point. I can keep the pc up and running forever as long as i stay away from ie.
 
After having these problems for a couple of weeks I finally upgraded from 7 to 8 and no change noted. Would a remove/reinstall do anything different?
