There must be some kind of virus on this computer, Windows XP Pro. I have a couple other computers on the network that are doing the same thing.

As soon as we login to the computer, explorer.exe process ends right after the icons appear on the desktop, and then it starts backup again. It goes through an endless loop.

I've tried different antivirus software, installed SP3, booted from an Avast boot CD and scanned, ran Malwarebytes, repaired Windows, deleted explorer.exe and repaired, about everything else I usually do to fix viruses.

Has anyone encountered this and/or know a good way to get rid of this?
