See the thread.

Latest info from Google search for DNS exploit

Test your own ISP, here.

This is NOT a hoax or a joke. The problem is on your ISP's end, not your machine so it probably affects Mac's, too. I don't believe you can fix it on your own machine, but your ISP may be able to help you. If the front line people don't know about it, ask to speak to an upper tier support person. Be prepared to give them info from the thread and the above links.

How do I get my MacBook to only use the OpenDNS numbers I enter though? I followed the instructions on the site but I couldn't figure out how to remove the entry already in the box. I want to change the settings on the MacBook itself because I travel with it a lot and don't want to be using a different DNS whenever I leave home. Thanks!

I feel really dumb about this whole deal...

What if I'm using wireless though?

I know. I suck at life.

No worries. On step 3, select 'AirPort' instead of 'Built-in Ethernet'

First off, thanks for returning to this topic over and over again. I really appreciate it!

I have tried clicking on airport instead of built in but there are already entries there no matter if I'm at work or if I'm at home. When I'm at home it's a 192 based IP and when I'm at work it's 10 based and there are a couple 216 entries. No big deal, home DNS from the router and work DNS from whatever setup they've got going on here. The part I can't figure out though, it how to remove them. I can add DNS entries all day long but the ones that are already in there are greyed out and can't be removed.

Man, who knew this could be so hard!

I find it hilarious that the mod had to put "NO JOKE! NO HOAX!" in the thread title in the Mac forum... LOL
