Years ago a dead whale washed up on shore in Oregon. They decide the best way to get rid of it was to blow it up with TnT. They thought it would disintegrate the whale but instead it showered the beach and surrounding areas with chunks of rotten whale carcass. It's unreal.

Exploding Whale

If you want a smaller version just do a websearch on "exploding whale"

Ah, a video almost as old as the Internet itself :) A true classic

There was a webpage long ago that had photos of the area afterward. Showed closeups of the cars that had been demolished by whale chunks. I don't have QT installed on this machine, but I want to say I remember all the people cheering and loving the show, then when whale parts start raining down they all start running and screaming.

You kidding? The internet was designed FOR this clip! All of the DARPA folks and research scientists around the country had heard rumors of this exploding whale and instead of snail mailing reels of magnetic tape, out popped the internet.

:D (the clip's a classic, a good one!)
