I use FFMCobalt here because FFM was my clan name when I started, and I chose to use Cobalt.

I also use Predigio and IvaBiggun ( 😉 ).
 
When Quake II came out, I immediadtly started playing online. I went through tons of different nicks, trying to find one I liked. Finally, while watching the simpsons I stole the name "Mr. Sparkle" I used it for a while but eventually got sick of using a name from a TV show. So I changed it to "sparkle, Mr" so peeps would still recognize me. Then after about a month I finished the process by shortening it to "sparkle" that is what I have been known as for a few years now.

In retrospect, I wish I had choosen something different because, as so have noted, it is kinda "fruity" but oh well, I like it and that is what I will be know as... at least in some form. I have been kicking around the alternate spelling of "sparq-l" what do y'all think. PM me, I'd like to know.

I thought the movie Ronin w/ Robert DeNiro was cool and I live in TX. I picked up the nick Tac (short for Tackleberry -Police Academy) because I love guns and have a 4X4 truck.

I used to DM a lot - so I needed an intimidating name (hey - it was at the time 😉) - so genocide sounded cool. I kept it lowercase cause I thought it just looked better than Genocide. (weird huh)

I use the name str8jackett on AIM cause I was listening to Bone one day and Wish Bone calls himself that, so I put a spin on it and names myself str8jackett....
 
I couldn't come up with anything, then noticed that a lot of people have something witty for their names...ok, not too many, but enough that I figured I oughta follow the crowd and create my own witty phrase/name.
 
we did this recently but here goes:
elita1 is one of the female transformers in the original transformers cartoon. I love cartoons!
I also use skyfire and ember; names of 2 characters in an old 70's comic called Elfquest.

My Mom is a medium. She channeled my spiritual father and I was told my spirit name is Namuna.

Come to find out some time later that it also means 'wacky person' in the Eastern Indian language.

Either way, I like it and I use it.
 
I work at Abit, and they are going out of business, because I went to work today and they had the lights off, and the janitor's brother told him they can't afford to turn the lights on for more than 10 minutes! ***confirmed***! 😉 (just trying to be like insightful Hardware)

I picked this name because of the the BP6 and BE6-2 which I owned at one point :disgust: (with the buggy and crappy high-point onboard controllers) caused me to become a alcoholic trying to get it stable.

I wanted to ask people here a question about the High-Point controller , but I had to sign up here to do so, and so I chose the name that was on my mind at the time.

 
For the same reason you chose. At the time I registered, the Prodigy was my favorite. I don't really use any other nicks.
 
I used to play a lot of computer RPG's, and when I would create a character I would give them a name that would help me remember what class they were. Thus, the name I used for a paladin class was Palad, and it stuck as an easy screen name.
 
cause i named my cat shadow cause it's hard to see at night cause it's a light grey and anytime you drop anykind of food doesnt always have to be food the cat it at you feet withen seconds looking for some grub. damn shadowscavenger! i always say.
