Not necessarily, serial killers feel an overwhelming compulsion that they can't control. Sociopaths lack the understand and conscience to know what they are doing is wrong. People in a psychotic break can't comprehend their actions, and may act based on delusion without a choice as to what is really going on. All these people can be the villain in a film.

Evil is about choice. it's about first denying the general tenets of death vs life, right vs wrong, then choosing that your own path, despite the cohesive one, is the only way out.

Mother Alien protects her brood. that's all that she knows to do. just like mother bear. or mother termite.

You want evil in the Alien franchise? Paul Riser. that's it. It gets no more evil than that. Greed over moral conviction. Fucker could have survived, easily, by choosing to help the explorers; or, at the very least, not let the baby alien spawner loose to impregnate Ridley (or the kid--it didn't matter), his motivation was elsewhere. nah, it wasn't even survival for him (this is all that mother ALien thinks about), it was greed. it was reputation.

that, my friend, is fucking evil.

Aliens is bad guy vs good guy. Alien is good vs evil. there is no evil in Aliens. none. not at all.

for fucks sake, I don't think half of you people even understand what Evil means...
