so i'm looking to buy some new pens, pilot g-2's, and i come across some refills. refills are $2 for 2. pens are $14 for 12.

why is there no incentive for me to reuse my pens by just purchasing refills? wouldn't it make more sense for the refill to be significantly cheaper than the pen itself?

maybe there is more ink in the refills than in the original pen itself. kinda like when you buy printers. even if you do find $30 printers, the ink cartridge @ $30 comes with twice as much ink.

it's a legitimate concern!

about there being more ink...the refills are theoretically the same size. i'm not about to empty out the ink cartridges and measure...
