I remember a huge thing about Obama's blackberry and that it may serve as a huge security issue as it's sort of hackable. However I thought they said it was okay as long as it was personal only. They might have only allowed him certain BBs though and that one he has now is one they didn't want him to have. Not sure though.

I don't know. OP wanted to know what the problem was, mentioned something about Engadget but couldn't be bothered to link it so I went looking. That's what I found, not even the same picture the OP posted. Engadget clearly is making a comment about his cell phone holster. I don't know what the big deal about the holster is, but I don't see what's so goddamn confusing at Engadget, either. They were referring to the holster. Maybe it's a fashion thing. Maybe it's the fact that it's on his belt instead of in his pocket. Maybe it's the fact that he even has a cell phone. I don't know and I don't care and I don't see why it matters enough to make a stupid thread in the first place
Its kinda like a fanny pack, or suspenders. Sure, it serves a purpose, but its just not cool (and yes blah, blah, blah who gives a fuck about it being cool...), and since Obama gets lauded for most of his taste in things, they had to point it out.

I thought I was linking the pic from engadget but i didn't realize they could edit a pic not hosted on their site. i did change the link to the engadget site.
