Thanks OP - got it for ten!

\what's the consensus about this game? Seems like they've been trying to give this game away from nearly the time it came out...

Having never played the earlier Hitman games, I love it. I thought it was ~15 of some of the best gaming hours I played in 2012. That is just the campaign and there is a lot of extra content (fan-made contracts) that I never even touched.

It seems those who are Hitman fans either love it or hate it.

It is a gorgeous game and will push even the newest GPUs if you want it to. The gunplay is also very, very good which made it very hard to stay stealthy sometimes when all I wanted to do is sling bullets!

There is a bunch of varied locations and the characters (other than the one-dimensional Hitman himself) are very well done. The story line isn't earth-shattering but it moves the campaign along nicely.

Personally, I think it has tons of value at this price point.

Amazing that no matter how cheap a game gets there will always be someone asking if it is worth it. Do you expect it to be free?

You didn't answer the question.

I almost jumped on it, but as I was checking out I was like..by the time I actually play it, it will probably be $5 ;p

No - not free; rather given other games for $10 is there something magical (fun) about this game. I.e, a bad game is not worth buying no matter how little it cost.

Sweet, bought for $10

This should hold me off until some of the other recent games come down in price too.
