[Expired] Buy.com: Intel 330 240GB SSD $150 AR (now $180 AR)

intel lets you scan the boxes and do it all via the internet. you get the money in about 25 days. I purchased 2 of these. I did all the hoops and should get the 2 for under 240 dollars that comes to under 50 cents a gb.

I will buy a lacie little big disk on ebay from macmall and put in the two of these my cost will be under 400 for a killer piece of gear.

Great deal. However, I'm not building another computer until haswell, so I'm sitting this one out, no matter how tempting it is... *sigh*

I ordered mine from newegg. Thanks for the heads up. I dont mind rolling the dice on Sandforce. I have a Sandforce drive from OCZ and it runs fine. This being Intel should make it rock solid hopefully. I was just about to pull the trigger on a Samsung 830 so this came at a good time!

Intel wrote its own firmware for this drive, so it's not your typical Sandforce. That said, if they were the same price I'd buy the Samsung 830 before this one.

newegg sold out i grabbed 2 of these from buy.com if all the discounts work I will get the 2 for 230. I also purchased a t-bolt lacie little big disk from macmalls ebay site 210 after an ebucks promo. so I will have a 480gb thunderbolt external ssd for 440.

If i sell the 2 hdds that come with the little big disk for 50 each my cost will be 340.

lacie little big disks with a pair of ssds are outstanding boot drives for macs. I have two in use right now.

I try to stay away from rebates. I'm still waiting for my Xigmatek rebate from last Christmas.
How can you possibly compare rebates from an immensely reputable company like Intel to Xigmatek. Not just comparing apples and oranges, comparing watermelons and raisins. Companies like Intel and Microsoft are awesome with rebates. Always have been.

I went with the Newegg sale.
