I wonder why the web site does not mention a toner included with the printer, and it also tells you "don't forget the toner" as an option. Does that means that it doesn't include the toner?

I have this printer. It is Windows only, a WinPrinter, where
the rendering/rasterization is done on the host PC.

I love the thing. It is very fast and startup time is very quick.
Quality is fine. I have done a few hundred pages on the starter
toner that comes with it.

People over at FW seem to love this printer. Gets around 2000 sheets on included toner I heard. Anyone else?

I bought this printer back in february. Works great, pretty quick as long as you are not printing anything graphic intensive. At 60 bucks, I bought two. Cheaper than buying another toner bottle.

I got this a few months back when staples had it for $100 after $100 MIR. I did get the MIR, but couldnt find any coupons to sweeten the deal at the time.

I love the printer, it is a fast printer and it is small. The only thing I dont like is the fing "power save" blinking light, but that is because it is in the corner of my eye from my computer. I end up just plugging it in to use it and then unplugging it. At staples the toners are like $80, but it comes with a starter toner. Like muffstah said, it is cheaper to buy another printer than getting another toner.

Anybody ever refill the toner in the cart?

I see some places have refills for around $20, is said to be easy on this machine to do but want to know before I get something that cost $70-80 to replace.

Also what kind of quality will it do Graphics and even photos??

I picked up this printer for 100 bucks during OM's Friends and Family sale a few weeks back, and it's great. Warms up quickly and prints fast! In my opinion this is an excellent deal. Save your inkjet for photo printing.

Ohhhh... this thread is about the OM printer and rebates. The $100 is 2 rebates. I know the ad says $100 rebate, but it is for 2 of them.

Wouldn't a small piece of electrical tape (or other opaque tape, or foil+tape) solve that problem pretty quickly?

I use it very seldomly, so it is not turned on a lot, but when it is I forget to turn it off. I have to be able to see the light so I know if it is on or not. I have to save $$$$ on electric ;)

I like to get this deal if there is a way to use both rebates.

Yes the OM rebate form does require the original UPC so either it is a misprint or they will have to work something out.

You are correct. A lot of people misread the OM rebate form. It has in bold print "copys of UPCs are acceptable" and people think that means for every item the generic rebate form can be used for. But there is an asterisk by that statement and asterisks by the items that it applies to. You are correct that the OM rebate for the 1250W requires the original UPC so that OM $50 rebate is VERY iffy unless the Minolta box has two original UPCs like Samsung and Envision boxes usually do.
You would think they have to have two upcs or accept the photocopy considering it is presented that way in the flyer and site, but don't be surprised to have to argue for the rebate if there aren't two upcs.

A window pop out says my area is outside free delivery region, but they "may be able" to deliver without charge.
The delivery guy would contact me before delivery for the fee if any.

Does anyone know usually how much would that be? It's for Herdon, DC area. 20190

1200dpi laser for $100? Seemed hot to me too. I just ran out and picked up one of these bad boys. On initial setup I have found printing to be adequate. (text great, greyscale blocky/banded) Further, this thing sucks power (compared to an inkjet) it makes my UPS bitch. Lastly, if you are used to a quiet inkjet, forget about it; this sucker is loud on startup and loud when printing.

generally you are not supposed to plug a laser printer into a UPS. Check your owner's manual -- usually these clearly state no laser printers.
