Yup, in the same boat as you guys. Placed my order on Monday when it still said "In Stock", got an email from them saying it's backordered. Keep us up to date as you get more info, jawatkin.

Just got this in my e-mail from Outpost.com:

We apologize for the delay of this response. At this time we do not have
a confirmed delivery date for this item as the manufacturer has not been
able to provide an anticipated ship date. We should be given an expected
arrival time for the item shortly. Please feel free to check back with

We have been informed that the rebate will be extended. Because of the
amount of backorders we do not know when we will be receiving any in.
Because of this there is not new rebate. Once we know when we will be
receiving these in a new rebate will be issued. I have been making a
list and once we receive the new rebate form I will email it out to you.
Please note that you have not been charged as we only charge when your
order ships. We apologize for the inconvenience and please let us know
