Description of the crash :

Ok......when a play, the image just freeze and there's no more sound.....ANd the only way to get out of there is to reboot by pressing the reset button on my comp. The first time that it crashed was when i was playin Max Payne...maybe for the 5th time something like that...then i decided to go play madden 2002 that i had been playing for a while (I had already played something like 40 games) and it was always working well but it started to crash....So did nhl 2002.....I reinstalled all those games, downloaded the newest drivers nothing could change it...

well first off do you remember installing any software or hardware around the time that these programs stopped working? second, have you tried the latest detonator drivers available from nvidia? Third, have you tried the latest chipset drivers? Available here
/edit if neither of those work, try installing windows again on top of your current install (you won't lose your data)

Sounds like either graphics driver or sound card. you could try disabling your sound card in device manager and play the game with no sound. see if it still crashes.
