Let's get the basic info down. I'm 15 years old, 5' 4", and of Indian/Bangladeshi descent.

So since the end of school (about 2 weeks ago), I've been experiencing some crazy weight loss. My weight has gone down from 150lbs to about 143lbs.

It's probably because the school lunch was incredibly fattening. Now that it's summer, I have a simple, easy diet. Breakfast consists of regular cereal. Lunch consists of rice with meat and the occasional veggies. Dinner consists of the same stuff as lunch, only more. My school diet was nuts: breakfast was eaten sometimes, lunch would be a burger or pizza or something unhealthy, and then I'd come home and eat more lunch, then eat more snacks, and then eat dinner at night.

My question is, am I experiencing fat loss or muscle loss? Or is it impossible to tell? My conjecture that it's muscle loss comes from the fact that you lose more muscle than fat when you starve yourself. Well, I'm not really starving myself, I'm only eating when I'm actually hungry (and eating better stuff).

Some have suggested that it's a growth spurt. Well, I haven't detected any change in height yet. I'd be very happy if I did, though. :)

Yeah, I would say it's mainly a decrease in your sodium intake. I doubt it's a loss in fat - eating more fat doesn't make you fat. Eating over your caloric maintenance makes you fat. I'd say it's straight water loss with simple weight fluctuation.
