Experiences with www.BuyXtremeGear.com?

Hmm, well I haven't heard much around AT about this online vendor unlike newegg.com and was wondering if any of you ATers would recommend buying from this company. I am thinking about buying a case from them, but I've noticed that it has been on sale for about two months, and there is no toll free phone number (seems like one of those small companies). Comments about them?

Very slow to ship... Little to none on communication...

I would not recommend them... I had the dissatisfaction of buying from them once before... (took over a week for them to ship after I had paid... )

well, I took a chance and ordered a $7 vga to dvi adapter from BuyExtreme. I must say I got tremendous service.

I placed the order this past tues morning at work. I got home and they had already sent me a tracking number saying they shipped the adapter the very same day!

got home from work yesterday (thurs) and it was here waiting for me

now I can enjoy some dual monitor lovin with my new $80 Geforce 4 card (8x 128 mb! )

newegg is still a "new egg" to the market...as you can see, people have had bad experiences with them already...i say pay a few more bucks and buy from a reputable seller...buying from newegg.com is like buying a saturn...need i explain?

I ordered a bunch of stuff from them right before christmas and can say that I was very pleased with the quality of service I recieved. my $400 order give or take a few was at my house here in PA in about 4 days after ordering.

What are you talking about?

Newegg.com is the 5th highest rated retailer on reselleratings.com. A 9.80 with over 3600 votes. You don't get that with shoddy service.

In fact, I just ordered something from newegg. Got here in 2 days, and I didn't even use 2 day shipping.

I've ordered from buyxtremegear.com as well and had no problems. While it's true that it took a few days from the time my order was shipped to the time it was received, it was to be expected since I ordered a CD-RW and FDD in blue. They weren't kidding when they said the burner would be generic. I'd never even heard of a CyberDrive before I received it. On the whole, though, I have no complaints and the drive works great!
