I was not impressed with skydiving at all when I did it. The anticipation is the best part- getting on the small airplane and opening the door for you to jump out.

Once you jumped, it was alright. There is no 'rollercoaster' G-force as you are just free falling. The view is nice, but all that scenery below you didn't feel realistic. Being tamdum, I felt too safe...

$150 and it was over in 7 minutes.

You know what was FCKING awesome instead? Class 5 white water rafting in Maine.

$90, a whopping EIGHT hours of fun, and even feeds you lunch. Holy CRAP it was just AMAZING. Epic 'holy shit I'm going to die' moments, then calm water areas where you can relax, then another 'fuck you' currents. At some crazy parts, the guide encouraged us to JUMP out of the boat provided you knew how to fend off possible brain damage rocks with your legs & feet forward.

So. Much. Fun.

skydiving is awesome. I'll hopefully be going again this spring

Whitewater rafting is also amazing unless your trip gets boned by unseasonably dry weather

White water canoe >* There's nothing like piloting your own boat, and an open canoe is a greater challenge. I always wanted to do C1, but I'm too tall for that :^(
