They did nothing. Some rabid fanboy just took some researcher's work and labeled it as "Apple" so that all the other rabid fanboys can get together for a nice circle jerk

Apple owns the technology, if it comes to market, it will be under their name.

Really? I wasn't aware one can patent and license someone else's research.

They acquired the IP...

They've aquired nothing. They have applied for patent which will be granted (anything gets granted by the USPTO these days), but will be useless. The minute they try to enforce their "IP" the patent will be invalidated based on prior art.

You fanboys are about as mindless as a herd of prepubescent girls screaming at the latest boy band. Grow the ****** up.

Why are people suddenly "fanboys"? Hell I've never even owned an Apple product.

Anybody who lets go of their ability to reason when speaking any company's product is a fanboy.

For example this clearly isn't Apple's design or technology. Its ok if someone didn't notice that fact from the video, but defending a lie just because its could somehow maybe, possibly be related to Apple falls under the above criteria.

Actually, if you check my post history, im a severe critic of apple... the ipod is one of the worst mp3 players in the industry for sound quality, Itunes sucks in many many ways, and OSX isnt exactly great either.

Nintendo has also applied for a patent for a touch screen "on which at least two pointing positions are simultaneously detectable." All of these new touch screens look pretty cool. 🙂

Isn't life great? Its all about marketing.

Good god, i can only imagine the price. On the upside dell's 24in and 30in LCD's would drop in price 🙂

that is pretty sweet! I've never been an apple fan... but I may just get one just for that 😛 then hmm.... I'm in school to be an EET.... I'll make it work with my PC

I just saw that movie

This is technologically ahead of Minority Report in that no gloves are needed. 🙂

This is also the coolest thing I've seen all day
Yes, but you have to touch the screen 🙁
BTW, even though no one cares, my friend's dad wrote Minority Report :Q

Philip K Dick?
