Expedia's Customer Service - anything but expedient

Holy crap! Has anyone ever tried to contact Expedia's Customer Service? I honestly think the DMV has a better response time. I thought by outsourcing it they would get more bodies to answer the phone, but apparently not.

So, what's a good hobby to pick up while being on hold for someone to either pick up the phone, or provide a solution?

Then they've changed for the worse in the past several years. Expedia used to have outstanding customer service.

I called once and it was a pretty good experience. Got an error from their website, saw that I was charged twice and they fixed it up right away.

Have you tried social media? Perhaps sending a Tweet to get their attention.

If it were me I would launch an EECB and skip their outsourced customer support by going direct.

Make sure to include ALL the information including booking/invoice numbers, who said what, hopefully you kept names, etc.

Best of luck and let us know how it pans out.

Thanks Grand Nagus, but my fortitude and perseverance came through in the face of adversity, in this case about 1.5 hours (I might have round down on this one) on the phone with their Customer Service. This included wait time on the phone, which was no joke about half an hour.

I just needed to cancel a hotel and car rental package I booked because I found out the parking is $55/day. Even it's company's money, that's just ridiculous. Anyways, I dropped the car, and that took about an hour for them to sort out.

I just noticed that they triple booked me to a non refundable hotel room.I only received the 1 confirmation email, the nice Filipino gentleman on the phone has basically said i'm sol, this is not going to be fun 🙁
