Looks like I'm planning a pretty extensive Spring break trip, and I've decided to take a multiple destination trip for it :p For the price of my gas to drive aroudn the county, I figure flight is the next best thing :)

The flights I want come to around $428 on Expedia. I've never bought tickets online before. Is Expedia pretty good/reliable? What are the steps to take to actually GET my tickets, and how long does that usually take?

The only time I've used expedia is when we got a hotel in Tampa last summer. No problems at all, everything went as planned

I have used Travelocity, Expedia, Priceline, etc. I have never had a problem with any of them.

Expedia, Travelocity, and Orbitz are all good IMHO. Priceline and Hotwire have great prices, but you don't get to choose timings of your flights.

I've always had good luck with Expedia. Are you a AAA member? This is what I do sometimes...

1. Find lowest price on Expedia.
2. Call hotel, and pleasantly "inquire" about the room. i.e., is it smoking/non-smoking, is there a hairdryer, coffee machine, etc.
3. Say, "well, while I've got you on the phone, do you have any better rates over the phone for AAA members?"

Okay, this might be a little too much legwork to try and save a few bucks. But, I've found sometimes I can get it for $5-$15 cheaper.

I dunno, driving around the county shouldn't take too much gas. :)

my experience is that they are all the same... orbitz, expedia, travelocity, etc. Priceline is the best, but you never know what you're going to get, even though I've been lucky the 2-3 times I've used them.

I've used them extensively the last year and have nothing but good things to say about the service.
