so....my rents just said they would loan me the $$ to buy a PS3...my plan is to resell it in order to fund my Wii (and give them back their 700 bucks), and if i cant resell just keep it and it will be christmas presant...sounds like a good deal to me.

Anywho, how much do you think people will be making off of eBay sales? I'm thinking about putting a BIN option for 1100 including overnight shipping + insurance

1000 - 700 (ps3) - 350 (wii, redsteel, and zelda) - 50 for shipping (could be more/less)...
seems resoanble to me...I dont really care about making tons and tons of profit...IMO if i made 250 bucks...i would be more than happy...do you think it is wrong of me to take advantage of the gamers who couldnt get ahold of one? I dont really see the problem...i stand in line for over day...shell out the cash...go through the hassle...and someone pays me 250+ for the troubles they dont have to go through :)

also, should i get a game or two to sweeten the package?
my city has 2walmarts, 1 target, 1 CC, NO BB, 1 GS, and >500k people...
where should i camp out?
how early should i go?

edit: more polls, WOOT

I dont see how its wrong (but I wont be doing it, Im happy with my preorder that I'll be keeping). Its not wrong because if there is a market out for it and people want to pay more, then your just kind of being a micro entrepreneur. All the power to you.

Personally, I do think it's a bit shady to be scalping game systems like this. I think it's a shame this practice ever got started. Scalping toys? But that said, that profits are damn tempting and I can't blame people for doing it.

Anyway, I wouldn't set a BIN of $1100. I think you may be limiting your profits at that price. I wouldn't be surprised to see PS3's go for well over $2K USD.

Well, you really shouldn't blame people for taking advantage of the situation. It's Sony's fault for not meeting the demand in the first place.
