I do not, and will not until I see some form of measurable evidence that stands up to scientific scrutiny that demons and spirits and whatnot exist.

Too bad science can't explain the spiritual relm...

There's no evidence that "the spiritual realm" exists. You believe it does, but you can't provide any measurable, testable evidence. All you can provide is hearsay, if that.

Read my post about the old lady. How do you explain that? She was right about every single thing, even before the person asked her the question she would answer it. As if she goes into their mind.

You tell a story, yet provide no evidence to back it up. Even if you can come up with a link, I still call it hogwash until you have an independent third party put this lady through rigorous testing under controlled conditions to see if she can repeat this behavior with random individuals.

I used to think everything is science. Then i remembered about this old lady in Bulgaria. She got caught in a tornado and after that she became blind. And she became a psychic. Every single politician in Europe went to see her, and the media wasn't allowed in her house. There were miles of people outside waiting, even sleeping in tents waiting for their turn. So i guess there is some things that are not science after all. Thats what spooks me most about possession.

link?

This is an example which i found on a website:

Prior to her death in 1996, Baba Vanga (Bulgarian for Grandmother Vangie--J.T.) predicted the sinking of the Russian nuclear submarine Kursk.

(Baba Vanga is the old lady, she died in 1996)

You can look more into that on google, i hope i can find more

Why would you go through excorcism if you're not possessed? Isn't that the whole point?

religious zealots who dont believe in severe schitzophrinea and believe it as a religious issue. its been debated already in court.

You mean to tell me you go through excorcism because you believe that the disorder is rather religious than scientific?

Dude this is disturbing. I thought you guys will make me feel better by saying they all hoax. Now i'll have trouble sleeping.

(not being sarcastic, i really couldn't sleep without getting scared for 2 years after i saw "The Ring" i still get shivers thinking about it)

And the courts are the best place to debate the spirtual realm?

Little girls are the scariest thing you can put in any movie.

Those possessions you see in movies and hear tales of are extremely rare, I would worry more about getting hit by a car than possessed by a demon.

If I'm not mistaken, exorcism requires permission, and I guarantee you'd know it if you were possessed. The more difficult one to catch is when a demon simply has an interest in corrupting your life, instead of completely taking it over. That's often a lot more subtle and a lot harder to get rid of.

Yeah but just like that girl. Great life, smart, pretty ever since 22 years old. All of a sudden she goes nuts. If there really is a God, why would that be allowed?

If The Ring bothered you that much then you shouldn't be reading up on exorcisms or anything else in the paranormal/supernatural areas on the internet.

I would guess some people on here may link to some websites with stories far more scary than The Ring in an attempt to scare you. I suggest you avoid clicking the links.

Why would God intervene? Maybe there is no God that acts in the capacity that you're wanting.

edit: Damn mankind. Whenever I'm speaking of anything that is not considered male it's usually unthinkingly referred to as 'male'

Choice. Free will. It's allowed for a purpose.

Jews asked a similar question of Jesus in the bible. You might want to check that out sometime.
