existing INTEL 850E supports RAMBUS PC1200?

I have done a great deal of reading recently and it would seem the Intel 850E and possibly the 850 (no e) support PC1200 , just not officially.


I have been reading posts about people running the Samsung and OCZ RDRAM 1200 in their existing systems. Makes it run like new 875P Canterwood supposedly.

Anyone done this?

My board is the gigabyte 8IHXP rev 2.0, with the lastest bios, but I cant get that secret o/c menu from the f1 key to drop open? anyone?
