You would think that Disk Keeper is THE MOST IMPORTANT TOOL ON THE FREAKING PLANET. More than 6 years ago, I purchased a downloadable file-recovery tool from Executive Software's web site and have been getting persistent promotions for Disk Keeper ever since. I unsubscribed once, which caused the emails to stop for more than a year. Now they have started coming again for no reason.
LISTEN TO THIS:
This paragraph came after an absurd chart showing a monthly cost of $1,271 for 10 workstations (44 hours per month).
How many help desk problems are actually due to a severely fragmented hard drive? HOW MANY???
How can Executive Software possibly make the assertion that constant background defragmentation does not degrade performance MORE than the occasional fragmented file?
F@#$ING SHUT UP ALREADY!!!
LISTEN TO THIS:
...Hard drives actually need daily defragmentation to maintain optimum speed and performance?do the math on the staff costs for that!
It actually costs you NOT to have Diskeeper on every server and workstation on your network. Those machines that do not have it very quickly become highly fragmented, helpdesk headaches. With Diskeeper defragmenting in the background, while your users continue to work, the performance of those machines is maintained automatically. No more unnecessary footwork around the site to run the built-in; no more emergency manual defragmentation of trouble machines while users wait; no more waiting for the built-in to finish its long cycle. You and your staff have better things to do.
